Iwo-jima¡ÊⲫÅç¡Ë, or Sulfar island is famous for hard fighting 
 spot between Japan and USA at World War ¶, for 36 days. 
 
    Only this fight during the Pacific War, American toll was
more than Japanese toll.
 
    We remember lieutenant general¡ÊÃæ¾¡Ë Kuribayashi Tadamichi
¡Ê·ªÎÓÃéÄÌ¡Ë.
    Recently two films were made by director Clint Eastwood,
"Flags of Our Fathers"¡Ê¿Æ¤¿¤Á¤ÎÀ±¾ò´ú¡Ë, from view point of USA,
"Letters from IWO JIMA"¡ÊⲫÅ礫¤é¤Î¼ê»æ¡Ë, from view point of 
Japan.
     Now there are no civilian at this island, only troops of the 
Self-Defense Forces¡Ê¼«±ÒÂâ¡Ë(the Air Self-Defense Force and the 
Maritime Self-Defense Force).
     Only once at a year, residents of Ogasawara islands visit 
this island. 
     Then about 10,000 bodies bleached bones remain at this 
island.
